Seminar: Combinatorial Optimization, Planning and Scheduling, Reinforcement Learning, and Reasoning with Large Language Models

by May 10, 2026
This seminar will discuss AI-based approaches for combinatorial optimization and planning problems.

Speaker : Dr. Zangir IKLASSOV

Date : Tuesday, May 12, 2026
Time : 13:00 – 14:00
Venue : Microsoft Teams (Online)
Meeting ID : 366 459 357 079 599
Passcode : a8en2b6m

This seminar will present recent learning-based approaches in combinatorial optimization. In particular, the use of reinforcement learning methods in planning and scheduling problems will be discussed through examples such as job-shop scheduling and stochastic vehicle routing problems. In addition, the role of large language models (LLMs) in guided exploration, decomposition-based reasoning, and decision-making processes will be evaluated with applications in routing, scheduling, and packing problems.
